The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) took part in the fifth meeting of the second half of the G16+ Pro Tempore Presidency, a key space for interinstitutional coordination and regional dialogue. Representing the organization, Executive Secretary Andrés Rebolledo spoke, presenting an updated energy outlook for Latin America and the Caribbean.
During his presentation, Rebolledo emphasized the importance of understanding emerging trends as well as the structural challenges the region faces in advancing toward a just, inclusive, and sustainable energy transition. He also underscored the need to strengthen joint planning, technical cooperation, and the exchange of best practices among countries.
The meeting reaffirmed the value of these multilateral spaces as essential tools for driving public policies that strengthen energy security, promote technological innovation, and accelerate decarbonization in Latin America and the Caribbean.
OLACDE will continue working with member countries and strategic partners on initiatives that contribute to a more resilient, equitable, and secure energy future for the entire region.
