The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) and the International Italo-Latin American Organization (IILA), in collaboration with the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Government, present a training programme funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation:
Regional Programme on Governance, Legislation and Policies for Energy Transitions in Latin America and the Caribbean
Latin America and the Caribbean have some of the greatest renewable energy potential in the world. Turning this advantage into cleaner, more secure, competitive and accessible energy systems also requires modern legislation, effective regulation and public policies capable of supporting the transformation of the energy sector.
This training initiative is aimed at legislators, legislative officials, authorities from energy governing bodies, and regulatory agencies from IILA and OLACDE Member Countries.
What will the programme cover?
⚡Energy systems and the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean: the evolution of the energy sector, structural challenges and opportunities for transformation.
📖 Comparative energy legislation and regulation: energy-sector regulatory frameworks from a comparative and practical perspective.
🏛️ Public policies for the energy transition: the design, implementation and evaluation of public policies aimed at promoting sustainable energy development.
