The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) and Portugal’s Agency for Energy (ADENE) signed a Collaboration Agreement that will promote technical and strategic cooperation in priority areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, decarbonization, and sustainability in Ibero-America.
The agreement was signed at OLACDE headquarters by its Executive Secretary, Andrés Rebolledo, and by the Chairman of ADENE’s Board of Directors, Nelson Lage. The event was also attended by the management teams of both institutions, who reaffirmed their commitment to a shared energy action agenda.
The agreement provides for:
Development of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable mobility projects
Implementation of training programs and technical capacity-building
Energy literacy campaigns and efforts to combat energy poverty
Joint participation in international forums and sector initiatives
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing toward a fair, inclusive, and sustainable energy transition, based on interinstitutional cooperation and knowledge exchange. The alliance between OLACDE and ADENE seeks to generate innovative solutions that contribute to the comprehensive energy development of Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Ibero-American community.
