As part of the AOG Argentina Oil & Gas Expo held in Buenos Aires, the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) organized the Natural Gas Stakeholder Dialogue for Latin America and the Caribbean, in collaboration with the Regional Association of Oil and Natural Gas Companies in Latin America and the Caribbean (ARPEL), the International Gas Union (IGU), and the Argentine Institute of Oil and Gas (IAPG).
The event brought together professionals from Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, and Colombia, who shared perspectives on the future of natural gas in the region.
The opening remarks were delivered by Guido Maiulini, OLACDE’s Chief of Strategic Advisory; Carlos Garibaldi, ARPEL’s Executive Secretary; Luz Stella Murgas Maya, IGU’s Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean; and Ernesto López Anadón, President of IAPG.
During the session, key topics were addressed, including the outlook for natural gas within the global energy context, its opportunities for development and regional integration, and its strategic role in the energy transition process.
With this dialogue, OLACDE reaffirms its commitment to creating spaces for regional coordination and cooperation that strengthen energy security, promote more resilient markets, and support countries in building an orderly, inclusive, and sustainable energy transition.
