The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2026 OLACDE Energy Excellence Award, an initiative that recognizes outstanding projects and experiences that contribute to sustainable development and the transformation of the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The 2026 edition received 155 project submissions from 21 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, reflecting the growing commitment of public and private institutions, companies, organizations, and educational institutions throughout the region to advancing innovative, high-impact solutions in the energy sector.
The award-winning projects were selected by an Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established for the Award’s four categories: Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Decarbonization, and Education.
OLACDE congratulates all the institutions and teams behind the recognized projects and highlights their contribution to developing solutions that support a more sustainable, efficient, innovative, and inclusive energy transition across the region.
The winners will receive their awards during the 2026 OLACDE Energy Excellence Awards Ceremony, to be held on October 7, as part of the XI Energy Week in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
In addition, on October 8, the winning teams and projects will participate in “Projects that Transform: Winning Experiences from the OLACDE Energy Excellence Award,” a session designed to showcase the experiences, results, and lessons learned from the recognized initiatives, while promoting knowledge exchange and the dissemination of best practices across the regional energy sector.
