{"id":21101,"date":"2026-09-04T15:33:49","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T20:33:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.olacde.org\/bolivia-assumes-presidency-of-olacdes-committee-of-ministers\/"},"modified":"2026-09-04T15:51:01","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T20:51:01","slug":"bolivia-assumes-presidency-of-olacdes-committee-of-ministers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.olacde.org\/en\/bolivia-assumes-presidency-of-olacdes-committee-of-ministers\/","title":{"rendered":"Bolivia assumes Presidency of OLACDE\u2019s Committee of Ministers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) and the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia defined the 2027 work agenda, establishing the strategic and operational framework for Bolivia\u2019s upcoming Presidency, which it will assume in October during the LVI Meeting of Ministers, OLACDE\u2019s highest governing body.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, both authorities agreed on a roadmap to coordinate and guide Bolivia\u2019s leadership as President of OLACDE over the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>The agenda is structured around four strategic pillars:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First \u2014 Just and sustainable energy diversification:<\/strong> promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency, electric mobility, and new energy applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Second \u2014 Energy security, hydrocarbons, and transition fuels: <\/strong>recognizing natural gas as a key transition fuel, while strengthening the security and resilience of energy supply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Third \u2014 Energy integration and regional infrastructure:<\/strong> focusing on energy interconnections, the development of strategic infrastructure, and regulatory harmonization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fourth \u2014 Investment, financing, and innovation for energy diversification:<\/strong> attracting public and private investment, promoting public-private partnerships, strengthening financing mechanisms, and fostering technological innovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was also attended by representatives of the European Union, OLACDE\u2019s Permanent Observer; the Embassy of Germany in Bolivia; and the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), through the ProTransici\u00f3n programme, supported by Germany\u2019s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
