{"id":20407,"date":"2025-05-15T14:05:43","date_gmt":"2025-05-15T14:05:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.olacde.org\/olacde-lanza-convocatoria-2025-del-premio-a-la-excelencia-energetica-con-nueva-categoria-en-educacion\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T14:20:46","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T14:20:46","slug":"olacde-lanza-convocatoria-2025-del-premio-a-la-excelencia-energetica-con-nueva-categoria-en-educacion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.olacde.org\/en\/olacde-lanza-convocatoria-2025-del-premio-a-la-excelencia-energetica-con-nueva-categoria-en-educacion\/","title":{"rendered":"OLACDE launches 2025 call for the Energy Excellence Award with a new education category"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) opened the call for entries for the second edition of the <strong>OLACDE Energy Excellence Award<\/strong>, a regional recognition that honors the most outstanding energy sector projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>The award aims to showcase and recognize institutions, communities, organizations, and companies that promote a rational and sustainable use of energy resources in the organization&#8217;s member countries.<\/p>\n<p>In its 2024 edition, held during the IX Energy Week in Asunci\u00f3n, Paraguay, OLACDE received <strong>71 nominations<\/strong> from across the region and <strong>awarded 28 projects<\/strong> of various scales and sectors, both public and private. The projects were assessed for their positive impact on <strong>energy efficiency, decarbonization processes, and the use of renewable energy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For 2025, the organization has added a <strong>new category focused on education<\/strong>, aimed at recognizing initiatives that promote technical training, knowledge transfer, and energy awareness in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The nomination categories for this year, 2025, are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Energy Efficiency<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Decarbonization<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Renewable Energy<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Education<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The call is open to all types of stakeholders in the regional energy community, that is: public or private organizations, large or small, academic or community-based.
