{"id":20347,"date":"2025-07-10T15:53:02","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T15:53:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.olacde.org\/olacde-inaugura-curso-sobre-financiamiento-de-proyectos-renovables-con-enfoque-en-flujo-de-caja\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T14:18:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T14:18:17","slug":"olacde-inaugura-curso-sobre-financiamiento-de-proyectos-renovables-con-enfoque-en-flujo-de-caja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.olacde.org\/en\/olacde-inaugura-curso-sobre-financiamiento-de-proyectos-renovables-con-enfoque-en-flujo-de-caja\/","title":{"rendered":"OLACDE Held Workshop on Financing Renewable Energy Projects with a Cash Flow Focus"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) held the virtual workshop &#8220;Financing Renewable Energy Projects with a Cash Flow Focus,&#8221; a training session aimed at strengthening regional capacities in the financial structuring of sustainable energy projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>The activity was carried out within the framework of the ETRELA project (&#8220;Improve, expand and facilitate access to renewable energy education and training in Latin America&#8221;), funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Government, and its purpose was to provide tools applied to the Latin American and Caribbean context, with an emphasis on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding cash flow as a financial analysis tool.<\/li>\n<li>Identifying sources of financing and mixed-capital schemes.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluating key indicators such as NPV, IRR and LCOE.<\/li>\n<li>Basic structuring of Project Finance-type models.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the workshop, the strategic importance of having trained professionals to drive viable, financially structured projects aligned with the goals of sustainability and energy equity was highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>With this type of initiative, OLACDE reaffirms its commitment to supporting the transition toward a cleaner, more resilient and accessible energy model for the region, strengthening the technical knowledge and skills needed for the development of renewable energy in Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) held the virtual workshop &#8220;Financing Renewable Energy Projects with a Cash Flow Focus,&#8221; a training session aimed at strengthening regional capacities in the financial structuring of sustainable energy projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.
