In April 2025, total generation reached <strong>158 TWh<\/strong>, a year-on-year increase of 5%, with a <strong>renewability index of 70%<\/strong>, surpassing the 69% recorded in 2024. This progress reflects a notable recovery in hydropower and significant growth in wind energy, according to the Monthly LAC Electricity Generation Report prepared by OLACDE.<\/p>\n<p>The region&#8217;s electricity mix remains highly diverse, with renewable sources predominating; hydropower and wind energy together account for more than <strong>80%<\/strong> of total output.
