The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) took part in the SIESUR Technical Meeting, held in Buenos Aires, a strategic gathering that brought together delegations from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay with the goal of advancing energy integration in the Southern Cone.<\/p>\n
During the session, OLACDE was represented by consultant Ivo Nacucchio, who presented studies on opportunities to intensify electricity exchanges in the subregion. These analyses form part of SIESUR’s roadmap, which sets out concrete actions in the areas of institutional frameworks, infrastructure, and financial risk mitigation to build a more interconnected and resilient electricity market.<\/p>\n
OLACDE also presented the results of phase 0 of the DEMA project, an initiative that identifies a possible architecture for an integrated energy data platform for the region. This development seeks to strengthen the availability, quality, and traceability of energy information, a key element for strategic decision-making and for planning the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n
