The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) took part in the Argentina Hydrocarbons Congress, organized by Vostock Capital, which brought together authorities, companies, and specialists from the energy sector to discuss progress and opportunities in the regional market.<\/p>\n
On the panel “Argentina Midstream Infrastructure: Transport, Export, and Energy Integration,” Ivo Nacucchio, an OLACDE consultant, presented the progress of the Mercosur + Chile Regional Gas Integration Project, an initiative OLACDE is developing together with CAF \u2013 Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, aimed at strengthening energy cooperation and joint planning across the region.<\/p>\n
During his remarks, Nacucchio explained that the region has a gas production capacity that far exceeds domestic demand, and that the project seeks to analyze supply and demand scenarios, evaluate infrastructure and transport alternatives, and provide comparable, up-to-date technical information to serve as a basis for investment decision-making and public policy design.<\/p>\n
He also emphasized that the project’s purpose is to facilitate the convergence of criteria and prioritize new integration works that contribute to a more efficient, resilient, and sustainable gas infrastructure for the energy development of South America.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
