Cali, Colombia, was the setting for the Econova Bio-X 2025 Bioenergy Innovation Forum, organized by the Cali Chamber of Commerce and the Ecopetrol Group’s Econova Initiative. The event brought together national and international leaders to showcase technologies, experiences, and success stories that are transforming the energy sector through bioenergy solutions.<\/p>\n
Representing the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE), Mar\u00eda Alejandra Garz\u00f3n, Technical Coordinator of the Latin American and Caribbean Methane Emissions Observatory (OEMLAC), presented the region’s progress in bioenergy and its strategic role in the global energy transition. During her remarks, she highlighted the regulatory frameworks and public policies driving the development of biogas and biomethane as key alternatives for reducing emissions, closing energy gaps, and promoting territorial development.<\/p>\n
The forum drew more than 180 attendees, who explored the outlook and opportunities for bioenergy in Colombia through a technical agenda that addressed:<\/p>\n
