The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) took part in the XXVI Oil & Power 2025 Expo Conference, one of the most relevant gatherings of the regional energy sector. The event serves as a strategic platform for connecting with industry leaders, showcasing innovations, and strengthening collaborative networks in a technical and specialized environment.<\/p>\n
The event brings together the main players in the oil, energy, and renewable energy sectors, offering exhibitors and attendees the opportunity to position their initiatives, forge key alliances, and access high-level networking spaces. Throughout the event, emerging trends, new technologies, and analyses on the region’s energy future were presented.<\/p>\n
Representing OLACDE, Fitzgerald Cantero, Director of Studies, Projects, and Information, took part in the panel \u201cNew regulations for renewable energy and possibilities for energy transition.\u201d During his remarks, he emphasized that regulatory frameworks are fundamental to accelerating the integration of clean technologies and to guiding the transformation of electricity systems toward more sustainable, resilient, and efficient models.
\nHe also underscored the growing importance of batteries and other energy storage solutions, essential for improving the stability of electricity systems and enabling greater participation of renewable energy in the regional matrix. He emphasized that modern, flexible regulations are key to driving their incorporation into countries’ energy planning.<\/p>\n
As part of the Conference, OLACDE also participated with an institutional booth, where the Organization’s regional programs, projects, and training initiatives were showcased. The space also featured the interactive activity \u201cOLACDE Energy Challenge,\u201d which allowed visitors to learn more about energy integration, regional projects, and the sustainable future the Organization promotes together with its member countries.<\/p>\n
