In a key step toward strengthening its international profile, the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) and the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) signed an important Collaboration Agreement aimed at jointly organizing the 47th IAEE International Annual Conference, to be held in Santiago, Chile in July 2026.<\/p>\n
The agreement was signed by Andr\u00e9s Rebolledo, OLACDE’s Executive Secretary, and Ricardo Raineri Bernain, IAEE’s Past President. Through this partnership, both institutions will pool capabilities to co-organize academic and strategic sessions during the Conference, reinforcing OLACDE’s role as a regional partner in the global dialogue on energy transition, regional integration, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n
The IAEE International Conference is recognized as the most important event worldwide in the field of energy economics, bringing together more than 500 leaders from at least 70 countries, including heads of State, business executives, regulatory authorities, academics, and representatives of multilateral organizations. In its 2026 edition, the conference will address the main challenges facing the energy sector globally, including oil, natural gas, coal, renewable energy, and electricity, along with strategic topics such as energy security, infrastructure financing, critical minerals, hydrogen, and a just and sustainable energy transition.<\/p>\n
